DAYTON, OH (WDTN) – Preparations are underway for The Big Hoopla. Sarah Spees with The Big Hoopla Local Organizing Committee, and Ron Eifert with the Dayton Convention & Visitors Bureau talked about how this upcoming series of events makes an economic impact and supports the efforts of the NCAA® First Four® Division 1 Men’s Basketball games.

The Dayton CVB and The Big Hoopla work together to welcome the NCAA First Four student athletes, teams and their fans, as well as giving them a first class experience, as they arrive in Dayton.

Ron said that there is a major economic footprint felt from the thousands of guests come to the Dayton area to attend the games.

The mission of the Big Hoopla is to honor the Miami Valley military community, celebrate basketball, make an economic impact on the community, and show the world why the Dayton region is a wonderful place to live, work and play…basketball!
